A New Flexible Four Parameter Bathtub Curve Failure Rate Model, and Its Application to Right-Censored Data

This article introduces a new flexible four parameter distribution by convolution of the exponential and Weibull using odd function transformation, which offers greater flexibility in terms fit, its called modified exponential-Weibull (MEW). The MEW model is designed to provide more accurate description failure time data resulting from system with one or modes characterized hazard rate (HR) that takes shape bathtub due complexity. moments properties, quantile function, residual life are derived discussed. We discussed HR several distributional properties model, applied maximum likelihood Bayesian techniques estimate unknown parameters. Hamiltonian Monte Carlo (HMC) algorithm employed simulate posterior distributions verify Bayes estimators. examined behavior on two sets bathtub-shaped compare it five other popular methodologies. results indicate provided best sets, suggesting proposed could be viable candidate for solving various real-life problems.
